The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for a Stewardship & Annual Giving Coordinator to join the team at our Daytona Beach Campus. The coordinator supports the production of personalized gift documents, acknowledgement communications, and recognition events.

The coordinator, in consultation with the division fundraisers/administration, University administration, and donors, will oversee the University’s gift agreement process for all donations, including cash and in-kind gifts. The coordinator works closely with the PAE fundraisers and University administration to ensure all gift documents are legally sound and meet University and government guidelines.

The coordinator will work with the stewardship team to provide administrative support of donor recognition and fundraising events The coordinator will also assist gift officers with administrative support on grants and foundations.

The coordinator is a strategic thinker, with excellent time management skills, who can manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service mindset and commitment to being a team player.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Working closely with fundraisers, donors, and University administration, create gift agreements for all donations, including cash and in-kind gifts. Submit final documents to appropriate parties for review and signatures, and coordinate with the manager of Gift Administration to properly allocate funds. 25% Assist the PAE division with the creation of consistent, meaningful content for gift acknowledgements and Thank You messaging for our donors.
  • Become proficient in and manage our gift acknowledgement system, including Thankview.
  • Assist in the research and preparation of grant applications. Track existing applications. Create and maintain a calendar of grant submission deadlines as well as a record of submissions and awards.
  • Provide administrative support to the team to include the support and/or coordination of stewardship events, support of the current Impact Reporting matrix, coordination of social media ads, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, English, or Journalism
  • At least one year of administrative support experience
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Copy writing / editing / proofreading experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Strong MS Office skills, familiarity with Adobe products
