We are currently seeking to fill our Administrative Assistant position at the South Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Moultrie, Georgia

POSTION SUMMARY:

The Administrative Assistant will provide highly professional administrative support for the Office of Student Affairs of the School of Osteopathic Medicine – South Georgia Campus. This work involves assisting the department in various ways from greeting students to helping with events. The individual works under minimal supervision with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

· Facilitates the interaction of the Associate Director with campus, system, community contacts/members and college leaders.

· Greets students, employees and answers phones.

· Assists with all Student Affairs event including but not limited to graduation, orientation etc.

· Manage budget and budget-related transactions such as processing invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, departmental charges, and ordering supplies.

· Performs confidential administrative functions including word processing/typing correspondence for the department to include distribution of internal email), memos and forms.

· Responds to external correspondence as required.

· Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; maintains confidentiality in sensitive situations and possesses ethical decision making skills and uses sound judgement.

· Processes bi-weekly payroll report for the work-study students.

· Supervises three work study staff while managing the reception area to ensure effective telephone coverage and flow of traffic within the Student Affairs Office Suite.

· Assist with proctoring test and accommodations.

· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma is required

Associate’s degree is preferred.

A minimum of five years’ experience as an administrative assistant in a fast paced office is required.

Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Salary Range: $20.26 to $27.19 per hour
