The job responsibilities include primarily teaching graduate clinical practicum courses (clinical supervision), bilingual/multicultural electives, and undergraduate clinical observation courses. The hired faculty will ensure that our students are provided with guidance needed to meet the Knowledge and Skills Competencies across the scope of practice areas. They will also be expected to increase our clinical population, with an emphasis on culturally and linguistically diverse speakers across the lifespan.

Clinical teaching faculty are required to participate in course-instructor evaluations and focus primarily on excellence in clinical instruction and engagement and contribute to department, college, and institutional service. Their performance evaluation will be based on course instructor surveys, peer observations, service, and clinical instruction and engagement.

Review of application materials will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. This is a benefits-eligible 9-month position. Summer teaching associated with this position may be available, but is not guaranteed. The department offers BS, MS, AuD and PhD degrees.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of three years of professional clinical experience, demonstrated knowledge of ASHA accreditation standards, and experience with supervision of graduate students. Preference will be given to applicants with interest and experience in school-age language and background in working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.

Candidates for clinical faculty positions must have an established record demonstrating increasing levels of professional practice and supervisory experience.
