The Department holds an Athena SWAN Bronze Award, recognising our commitment to diversity in STEM academic and reflecting the supportive and positive environment within the Department.The post holder will be responsible to the Mechanics Workshop Manager and will be expected to directly support the Civil / Geotechnical Engineering and Light Mechanics teaching laboratories, as well as a range of research activities across civil and geotechnical engineering. This will include a particular focus on supporting other staff in the Civil and Light Mechanics Laboratory in the delivery of laboratory teaching for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students. The post holder will proactively engage with both academic and technical support colleagues to ensure that activities are undertaken to an appropriate standard.
