The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites application for a two-year non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. This visiting professor position has a four-course teaching requirement each semester (12 credit hours per semester), with a potential mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed. The expected start date for the position is Spring 2023, though an earlier start date can be considered for suitable candidates.


Required Qualifications:  Candidates must have a doctorate in economics (not ABD) with a record of excellent teaching experience in economics prior to start of employment.  Excellent and Innovative teaching is a key requirement for this position, and the candidate should furnish evidence about such activities in their CV or cover letter. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Preference will be given to candidates who have experience and/or an interest in both face-to-face and online course delivery.  Preference will also be given to Practice Academics as defined by AACSB standards (PhD, committed to the teaching mission, some interest in research).  Commitment to continued scholarly or professional engagement activity is expected.
