Director, University of the Aftermarket


Northwood University seeks a Director of the University of the Aftermarket to develop and promote existing and new programming for Northwood University in the Aftermarket space. The Director of the University of the Aftermarket reports to the Dean of the Graduate School and works closely with all automotive aftermarket programs at Northwood University.


Key Responsibilities:

  • leads the University of the Aftermarket;
  • manages the budget and department goals;
  • delivering existing programs such as Leadership 2.0, Aftermarket 101, etc.;
  • developing new programs, speaking engagements and programs and research positioning for Northwood University in the aftermarket space;
  • coordinates with Advancement to lead fundraising efforts to complement and supplement budget needs;
  • supports the philosophy of the University and advances Northwood’s mission, values, Code of Ethics, and Outcomes;
  • gains feedback from faculty and staff engaged with the University of the Aftermarket;
  • cultivates a cooperative, collegial work climate which enhances communication, trust, and productivity of and among staff, faculty and students of the University of the Aftermarket;
  • maximizes the influence, impact, and success of continuing/executive education programming across One Northwood;
  • teaches 6 credit hours in each the Fall and Spring semester on the Michigan Campus;
  • performs specific duties as may be delegated or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • hold a master’s degree in a related field;
  • have strong experience in designing and implementing successful programs for students in need of continuing/executive education programming within the aftermarket space;
  • have strong knowledge of management/economics as well as the business environment and needs of aftermarket business leaders;
  • have knowledge and proven leadership in managing people, systems, and processes;
  • have strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills; and
  • have a proven track record of success.
