Job Summary

The Department of Business and Economics at Elmhurst University, in the west suburbs of Chicago, invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach marketing management courses for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Essential Functions
  • This course adopts a hands-on and problem-based approach in offering students an overview of a number of data analysis and decision-making tools commonly encountered by managers in a business environment.
  • The course will focus on helping students apply, with the aid of Microsoft Excel and other computer software programs, analytical tools such as statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, optimization techniques, and project management.

  • As assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MBA or higher degree.
  • Some college teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience with data analysis for managerial decision making.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.

Work Hours
  • Flexibility relative to teaching schedule.
  • Be available for meetings with accounting and finance professors a few times during the semester.
