Job Description:

This is an entry level clinical position that conducts and interprets developmental evaluations and assessment activities with children and their families. Works with a multidisciplinary team to develop and monitor plans as needed. Provides case coordination for less complex special needs children and their families. Provides home and school observations as needed for families. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with families, co-workers, schools and community agencies. Applies sound principles of data-based decision making to all aspects of practice. Demonstrates sensitivity and skills needed to work with families, children and staff from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Ability to drive for satellite clinics, provide trainings and support groups to the community. Provides internal trainings to the staff. Participates in multidisciplinary assessments and team integration meetings.
  • Provides case coordination for less complex special needs children and their families/care providers.
  • Designs, develops and delivers high quality training programs and support groups, applying best practice models, to families and professionals within our catchment area.
  • Provides appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies for families and/or professionals working with assigned family.
  • Coordinates client services and referrals to community agencies.
  • Consults with other team members and community providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provides home and school observations, as needed, for families.
  • Provides coaching to families and care providers on strategies and techniques needed for the special needs child/family in order to meet outcomes.
  • Attends weekly clinical staffing providing input regarding patient case management needs. Attends other divisional meetings, as required.
Expected Salary:

$19.01 to $24.19 per hour depending on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in special education or closely related degree.
  • BCaBA or BCBA prefered.
  • Experience providing trainings and support groups preferred.
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
