The Cognitive and Behavioral Science Department and Neuroscience Program at Washington and Lee University ( https://my.wlu.edu/cognitive-and-behavioral-science ) seek to fill a tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning July 1, 2023. The specific area of research expertise is open, but preference will be given to candidates who broaden the disciplinary scope of our department’s faculty. We seek candidates whose research and teaching makes explicit connections between brain and psychological processes, including animal or human models. Teaching responsibilities include Brain and Behavior, statistics, a seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise, and supervision of student research. Strong candidates will be able teach courses such as: Cognitive, Behavioral, or Social Neuroscience; Learning & Memory; or Sensation & Perception. We welcome candidates interested in joining a community-oriented department that values teaching innovation, equity & inclusion, and mentoring students in their intellectual, personal, and professional development.
