Job Description:

The Business Administration and Economics Department at MCLA invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics to begin on September 1, 2022.

The successful candidate will teach both graduate and undergraduate economics courses, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business and economic statistics. Preference will be given to candidates who bring a demonstrated focus on racial/ethnic equity and culturally responsive pedagogy to their teaching, research, and service.


Requirements:

• Terminal degree required, earned doctorate in Economics preferred.
• Previous successful teaching experience, with a preference for experience teaching in multiple formats including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
• Demonstrated competence in working in cross-cultural and diverse educational and/or business environments.
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and fostering undergraduate research.
