A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) invites applications for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Dental Assistant will provide main support as chairside assistant to assigned residents, performing daily four-handed assisting duties and working solo with patients. Input charting and notes in Dolphin, acquire CBCT x-rays.
Job Duties:
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of Orthodontic unit and clinic.
- Independently complete daily and weekly assigned maintenance tasks for your monthly assignment, the lab and the clinic.
- Attend monthly on-site meeting, and off-site meetings as assigned.
- Scanning patient document, stocking, cleaning units and clinic areas, provide input to team members, check and restock clinic forms, place maintenance request emails for broken items.
- Provide feedback on supply usage.
- Continuing education course attendance.
- Cleaning kitchen area.
- CE course attendance.
- Assisting with clerical work as needed (Dolphin status clean up, scanning, etc).
- Responsible for managing the allowed amount of supplies in designated operatory.
- Patient Records.
- Inventory on the clinic floor, and in each operatory.
- Chairside dental assisting experience, dental office experience, computer experience (Word, Excel, email), and infection control.
- Four-handed dental assisting skills, ability to take clear, diagnostic images and photographs.
- Sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards/regulations.
- Dolphin software, dental back office experience, digital x-ray, infection control, demonstrated knowledge of computer systems/software.
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, maturity, and ability to stay on task are required.
