About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY

The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders invites applications from highly-motivated candidates for a part-time (20 hours a week) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)position for the role of “Off-Campus Clinical Coordinator” for the Master of Science Speech-Language Pathology Program. This appointment will begin in July or August 2022 and will continued for the duration of 1 year, subject to renewal contingent on department enrollments and business need.

The opening is for an advanced practitioner with 5+ years of clinical experience. This position is non-benefits eligible.

The Off-Campus Clinical Coordinator is an advanced practice SLP who possesses depth and breadth of experience within the areas covered by the ASHA Scope of Practice. This individual assists the off-campus placement team with securing and managing clinical placements in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to Early Intervention, schools, private practices, specialty programs, and various hospital settings. The Off-Campus Clinical Coordinator assists with sites visits, program development, establishment of policies and procedures, forms, and maintenance/recommendations for off campus clinical internships.

The Off-Campus Clinical Coordinator provides support for students enrolled in Advanced Clinical Practica courses. The role includes compliance with mandates of regulatory agencies, maintenance of current licensure, completion all required clinical and operational documentation/forms, and participation in off-campus programing or initiatives as required by the Director of Clinical Education, Program Director, Department Chair or regulatory agencies (e.g. performance improvement activities). The role reports directly to the Director of Clinical Education

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work well with and mentor students at varied levels of proficiency and skill. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with computer technology (.e.g., Office365 suite utilizing Word, Excel, and email). Excellent organizational skills; can work independently, but seek out guidance when needed. Ability to work well with multiple levels of staff, students, and supervisors at varied levels of proficiency and efficiency in both on and off campus settings. Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC-SLP plus at least Minimum of 5+ years of clinical and student clinical supervision experience; Massachusetts license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
