Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Student Engagement.

The candidate would be expected to: co-advise the Student Activities Board, a group that is responsible for contracting and presenting events during the academic year, by negotiating and preparing contracts for the events by working with the Office of the General Counsel and conducting follow-up discussions with various student organizations on the development of their approved activities, as assigned; support other areas within the Divisional and campus-wide programming efforts including, but not limited to New Student Orientation, Residential programming, Welcome Week, Homecoming, Springfest, Open House and Commencement.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2016

Other Requirements:
At least one semester of graduate assistantship/graduate internship and/or professional experience in a college/university Student Engagement Office, student event planning, and/or fraternity/sorority life office.

Must be a team player and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work non-routine hours, including some weekend hours. Occasional travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services at the college level, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or related field.

Professional or graduate experience working with culturally-based organizations.
