Boston University College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College is seeking a Lecturer to join the Health Science Program, which is a large, interdisciplinary undergraduate program focused on global health. The Program is housed within the Department of Health Sciences, which also includes programs in Nutrition and Human Physiology. The Health Sciences Department believes that the cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff and students is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our academic programs and research. We are especially eager to have join our ranks a colleague who supports our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, diverse, and a place where every individual can thrive. This full-time, renewable, non-tenure track faculty position will begin in either January or September, 2023. Faculty at Boston University are expected to teach, advise students, participate in service, and demonstrate a commitment to our institutional values regarding diversity, equity and inclusion. The individual hired into this position will teach 3 courses per semester, advise undergraduate students in the Health Science major, and engage in service to the program, department and college. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in and preparation for teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate level and an interest in adding to a vibrant undergraduate curriculum and community in Health Science.

Qualifications include:

● MPH or other relevant Master’s degree is required

● Expertise in any area of global health

● Teaching experience at the college/university level, preferably with undergraduate students

● Preferred: PhD, ScD, DrPH or other relevant doctoral degree

● Preferred: Expertise in one or more of the following areas of global health: environmental health, immigrant health, healthcare administration, or health services delivery

● Preferred: Teaching interest in health-focused writing instruction ● Preferred: Interest in developing or supporting student extracurricular opportunities relevant to global health
