Boston University’s College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track) to join the Human Physiology program in the Department of Health Sciences. The Department of Health Sciences believes the cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the excellence of our academic programs and scholarship. This is a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track appointment that begins Fall 2023. Lecturers at Boston University are expected to teach, aid in curriculum development, advise students, and participate in service. The individual hired will teach 3 courses per semester, advise undergraduate & graduate students, and engage in service. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage the Field Experience practicum course each semester and teach courses in physiology and/or research which could include: Clinical Trials & Industry Insights, Techniques of Scientific Presentation, Bias in Research and Medicine, Neuroanatomy & Neurophysiology, Physiology across the Lifespan, Renal Physiology, Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, Pulmonary Pathophysiology and/or other related/created courses.

Qualifications include:

• A terminal degree (PhD, MD, etc.) in a biological, physiological, or health science field is required • Advanced ABD (or equivalent) will also be considered

• Teaching or mentoring experience at the college/university level is required

• Interest and/or experience in undergraduate student advising is required

• Experience in academia, the life sciences industry, or medicine is preferred
