Job Summary/Basic Function:
Provide critical support to both the Vice President and Assistant Vice President for Advancement. Assist other College Advancement leadership and colleagues during peak periods as necessary. Responsible for a variety of high-level administrative duties, many of which are complex and confidential in nature. Responsible for preparation of various Blackbaud NXT fundraising and solicitation reports, preparation of Trustee Philanthropy and Governance committee meeting materials and minutes, meeting and travel arrangements for the Vice President and Assistant Vice President, and serve as a coordinator for the division’s administrative services. Frequent contact and interaction with the President, college officers, trustees, and other key leadership alumni and parent major donors. Some evening and weekend work required, especially during the peak periods prior to and during Board meetings and Commencement and Reunion Weekend.
Minimum Qualifications:
Individual must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and demonstrate the ability to work in a team¬ oriented environment. Must have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects. Excellent verbal, written and personal communication skills required. Must possess strong organizational skills and an attention for detail, and preferably will have a customer-service background. Must have respect for confidentiality and discretion. Working knowledge or past experience with Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT, File Maker Pro, and/or past experience working in higher education advancement divisions helpful
