Assist leadership in the Center for Policy Design and Governance ( CPDG ). Related responsibilities include: Assisting Center leadership in planning, coordination, implementation, and performance tracking of Center activities and initiatives; development of materials and resources related to Center activities and associated initiatives in multi-media formats; oversee Center’s and associated initiatives¿ web and social media sites; assist in research proposal preparation; interact with key stakeholders (students, alumni, faculty, staff, etc.) seeking information about the Center and associated initiatives and through listservs; scheduling and coordinating events and meetings, and; assist with travel planning. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or combined business school or equivalent office work experience, including sufficient computer training. Must have experience using Microsoft Office software suite. Academic experience is a plus. Ability to be work on various projects and to work independently a must. Organizational skills and attention to detail a must. Good writing and editing skills. . The key skills needed are Microsoft office software expertise, social media (e.g., Facebook & Twitter), and the ability to remain professional in a high traffic, ever changing work environment. Set priorities to balance the diverse duties and demands of this position. Responsibilities
  • Day to day operations: Manage day-to-day operations of the CPDG . Intake and coordinate business activities of Center faculty affiliates; planning meetings, arranging travel and accommodations. Manage office space for visitors, faculty, and students. Provide administrative support to Center leadership. Assist Director as liaison to other university departments and offices.
  • Basic project management support: Assist in planning, coordination, implementation, and performance tracking of Center activities and initiatives. Work with Center leadership to develop tracking system for Center activities and initiatives and engage with leadership in coordinating, designing, and implementing activities and initiatives.
  • Communications support: Manage the Center’s communications infrastructure, including Center and associated initiative websites, and related social media outlets. Produce online news updates and event descriptions. Design and produce multi-media resources relating to Center activities and initiatives.
  • Event Coordination and Implementation: Coordinate administrative work associated with conferences, workshops, visiting speakers, special meetings, and CPDG co-sponsored events. Manage logistical planning, including space acquisition, publicity, travel and lodging arrangements, technology management, food, etc..
  • Other duties as assigned
