Position Function
Effectively manage day-to-day operations of a Regional ISBDC (East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center) to meet ISBDC counseling, training and other performance goals, program objectives and contractual agreements. The Regional director is responsible for identifying stakeholders and funders to meet required Federal cash match sources to access Federal funds. In addition, the Regional Director represents the ISBDC in the community. The Regional Director reports to the Associate Vice President for Community Engagement with a dotted line relationship to the Lead Center.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or a related field.
Minimum Experience
Four years of responsible experience in a private, governmental or non-profit sector setting.
One year of managing a small business or providing support programs and/or services for small businesses.
Experience in Microsoft Suites and using Management Information Systems.
Minimum Other
Must live or be willing to relocate to the East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center service region which includes the counties of Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, Randolph, Rush, Union, and Wayne.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Master of Business Administration or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or related field or equivalent business experience.
Preferred Experience
Two years of ownership or senior management of a small business.
Direct experience providing information, advice counsel and training to business.
Direct experience in developing and facilitating strategic planning sessions with clients.
Experience in both private and public sector.
Public speaking
Experience in working with senior leaders in business or the community
