Doctor of Physical Therapy

Position summary: OSU-Cascades is seeking an Assistant Clinical Professor or Associate Clinical Professor for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month position, at Assistant Clinical Professor or Associate Clinical Professor rank, with the expectation of teaching, scholarship, institutional/professional service, advising, and clinical work. The expected start date will be in September 2023.               

Job requirements: Required qualifications include a clinical or academic doctoral degree (DPT or PhD) from an accredited university. Physical therapists must possess an Oregon Physical Therapist License or be eligible for licensure in Oregon. Demonstrated ability for excellent teaching. Strong communication and collaborative abilities. Experience actively engaging in professional and/or community service activities. Strong leadership skills. Ability to coordinate and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in building/maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships. A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity. Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

About Bend: While the tenure home of the successful candidate will be at the main campus in Corvallis, the position is assigned to teach in Bend at the Cascades, located in an attractive resort town situated in sunny central Oregon.  As the newest campus in the OSU system, the Cascades campus features state of the art buildings and facilities, as well as a world class outdoor environment offering numerous outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, and river rafting.
