Purpose of Position
This position supports the retention initiatives of the University as defined in the JGB Foundation Grant award.
Responsible for various analysis activities including the collection, analysis, and reporting of University data.
Organizes, develops, and delivers ad-hoc queries and reports to University stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
The majority of this position is collecting, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing data from a variety of sources. This position will perform basic statistical analyses to identify student trends, behaviors, and opportunities.
Will design, develop and implement interactive reports and analysis to provide insights and make recommendations around student success.
This position provides data, analyses, and reports on key Access and Completion operations, initiatives, and objectives; utilizes proactive outreach strategies to identify students in need of support; provides direct student service to individual students through meetings; and supports retention efforts.
In addition, a portion of this position will implement University retention programming by:
Qualifications
Must have a Master’s degree in any field with data analytic experiences or a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience and related experience.
Must have skill using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and preferably data programs.
Must have ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to internet with students, staff, and faculty at all levels and work as a member of a team with strong initiative, and end-user orientation.
