Instructor/Assistant Professor - Sociology

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Benedictine University, a Catholic liberal arts institution near Chicago, seeks candidates for a one-year appointment (starting Fall 2022) as an Instructor or Assistant Professor to teach courses in Sociology and Criminology. This is a 9-month, benefits-eligible position.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in relevant field (Sociology, or closely related field). Candidates with Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment strongly preferred. (A doctorate is necessary for appointment as Assistant Professor). Significant teaching experience at the college level, including, but not limited to, Sociology and Criminology/Criminal Justice.
