A full-time, two-year project position is available in Integrated Marketing Communications beginning Sept. 19, 2022. The working title for this assignment is Marketing Specialist with an official title of Marketing Specialist.  This is a 2-year project position that may transition to a renewable position at the end of the term, contingent on performance and funding. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The candidate for this position will create marketing plans for new and existing graduate programs at UW-Eau Claire, with a specific focus on programs associated with the WEDC Workforce Innovation Grant. Primary work includes identifying marketing opportunities, evaluating competing programs, identifying audiences, creating campaign briefs and executing recruitment campaigns in collaboration with other marketing specialists and content creators. Hybrid and remote work options are available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.  

Professional experience with digital marketing, including content creation and media buys

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Experience in market research, list acquisition, lead generation Ability to develop a messaging strategy based on market research and enrollment goals Experience in digital marketing strategies including SEO, PPC and print/mail/email campaigns Experience working on multiple campaigns at once Demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse populations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience working in a complex environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and virtual meetings.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in higher education and across internal units and external entities. A candidate with experience marketing undergraduate and graduate programs would be most desirable.

THE UNIT: The unit of Integrated Marketing and Communications leads recruitment marketing, public relations, and internal communications for the university. Our team is comprised of strategists and storytellers, including marketing specialists, writers, editors, designers, videographers, photographers. We manage the institution’s social media accounts and YouTube playlists, and we optimize the university website for search. We are curious, creative and lifelong learners.
