The Biology Department of the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences at Simmons University is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor position in the Biology Department to teach BIOL 342: Behavioral Biology during the Fall 2022 semester at our Boston campus in our new Science Center. The Fall semester runs from September 6, 2022 through December 16, 2022. The adjunct faculty instructor will be responsible for lecturing and leading in class discussions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:50 PM. They will also work with students on their written semester-long projects, and submit grades at the end of semester.

BIOL 342: Behavior Biology examines the modern hypothesis-driven scientific study of behavior. Interactions between the genome and environmental factors are studied in invertebrate and vertebrate species including the human in the following areas: communication, feeding, predation, courtship, parenting, cooperation, and aggression.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Experience teaching Biology courses, with experience in Behavioral Biology or Organismal Biology preferred
