Job Summary

This position will assist with ongoing work to understand barriers and facilitators to supporting Black Led and Black Serving (BLBS) Maternal Health Organizations (MHO) in Philadelphia. Using a systems science lens, the research assistant will create a qualitative dynamic model of BLBS MHO growth in Philadelphia. This dynamic model will be co-created with BLBS MHO leaders in Philadelphia and guide the identification of leverage points to support better investment in the success of these organizations.

Essential Functions
  • Synthesizing the literature to understand dynamic processes driving BLBS MHO development and success
  • Leveraging baseline data from a Landscape Assessment of BLBS MHO in Philadelphia to develop a stakeholder engagement plan
  • Creating a facilitation engagement manual for BLBS MHO
  • Implementing the engagement plan in the form of group model building exercises to understand barriers and facilitators of BLBS MHO from their perspective
  • Synthesizing and writing up findings in manuscripts, reports, and other formats
  • Assisting with IRB submission and management
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, or similar concentration.
  • 4 years of Experience.
  • Vensim, Stella, or similar dynamic modelling software.
