Responsibilities:  Manage the Information Systems and Network team. Organize systems and network operations to ensure a highly available secure systems and network infrastructure. Strategically plan and implement infrastructure projects based on institutional needs. Develop operational processes, procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Collaborate with Information and Academic Support Systems leaders to develop, plan and implement strategic systems and network goals and objectives. Supervise and lead in the design, planning and implementation of systems and network infrastructure and applications including Sun, Cisco, Microsoft, PeopleSoft, VMware ESX, SAN storage and other technology solutions. Analyze and assess systems and network architecture requirements and determines optimum growth, upgrade, and migration solutions. Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers and associated network systems and escalation tickets while monitoring and maintaining application environment stability and security. Lead and maintain the development of service specifications, internal standards, and policies and procedures to adapt to evolving technology and business needs. Coordinate and execute large scale network operations. Lead efforts to implement automation and communication to support pro-active monitoring of systems and network infrastructure and efficient response to events and triggers. Assist institutional departments to develop, plan, and implement technology efficiencies. Manage technology standards for computer, server, network, and technology procurement for the institution and develops procurement processes for technology purchases across the institution. Participate in long and short range technology planning. Manages projects and ensures task deadlines are met. Support a 24 X 7 operation. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required.  A minimum five (5) years of experience in implementing systems and network technologies, applications, and security measures. Experience in a wide range of technologies that include Sun, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Technologies, LAN/WAN Management and architecture planning, telecommunications support including VOIP, and various technologies. Leadership and personnel management skills to work and communicate well with the team.  Have the ability to make critical decisions and take ownership of projects and issues. Excellent customer service and communication skills.

SALARY:  $80,000 - $90,000
