The VCU C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research Informatics Program is seeking a Data Compliance Analyst that will assist with ongoing regulatory processes related to accessing and managing data (including Protected Health Information) for research purposes. This activity will include the Wright Center’s own processes (data warehousing, Honest Broker services, etc.), as well data requests from researchers.

Typical Duties

Responsibilities will include creating and managing regulatory documents and processes (standard operating procedures, IRB protocols, data security plans, etc.), create regulatory and security education materials, as well as conduct regulatory and security education. The Data Compliance Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to ensure data security and access practices within the Wright Center informatics program strictly follow Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and all current laws, regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures developed by the VCU institutional Review Board (IRB); Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); and all federal, state, and local regulatory entities, including policies and procedures of the VCUHealth System related to data security and access. The Data Compliance Analyst will report to the Technical Director of for Research Science for Informatics within the Wright Center.

Typical Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree with experience in data analyses and storage
2. Prior experience with IRB protocol submissions and continuing reviews
3. Prior experience in compliance with IRB requirements including secure storage of research data

Master's degree in data science or related field and prior experience working with protected health information data preferred.

Salary Range: $52,300-$75,000/ commensurate with experience
