The Management Department in the College of Business at James Madison University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning Fall 2023.
James Madison University was founded in 1908, and its AACSB-accredited College of Business (CoB) offers nationally ranked undergraduate and graduate programs. The CoB has a history of being ranked as one of the country’s top 5% undergraduate programs. Five years post-graduation, Virginia residents attending the CoB had the highest return-on-investment of the 82 business schools included in Poets & Quants 2017 undergraduate business program ranking. In 2022, US News ranked the JMU MBA program as #26 best Online MBA Program in the nation. The College includes the Center for Entrepreneurship, Center for Professional Selling, Small Business Development Center, Capital Markets Lab, and other programs focused on outreach and engagement with the business community. Our successful alumni hold C-suite positions at major corporations including SAP, Fidelity, Bank of America, IBM, McKinsey & Company, Deloitte, KPMG, and other Fortune 500 companies and readily engage with the College. The faculty are teacher-scholars who are collaborative and supportive colleagues. Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a candidate who can teach courses in International Business Management, with a secondary teaching area in Strategic Management or Organization Behavior. The typical teaching load is 3/3.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Management or a related field is required, and a Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited program is preferred. The successful candidate must provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and outstanding research potential.
