Position Summary

The Career Design Center invites applicants with an interest in inclusively developing student’s skills and competencies to apply to the role of Student Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will manage and implement the student employment program for 35+ students leading onboarding, individualized development plans, training, and evaluation of student employees.
  • Oversee student employment building in a sense of community and belonging
  • Supervise, onboard, train and continuously mentor all student employees with varying job responsibilities focused on professional growth
  • Manage student staff scheduling, payroll budget and other operational tasks
  • Collaborate departmentally to ensure the highest quality experience for student employees, the students they serve, employers and guests.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience is required. A higher degree will be considered in lieu of the experience requirement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff.
  • Demonstrated understanding and empathy for the unique concerns of diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing others and providing supervision.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Openness to learning and utilizing technology to achieve departmental goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Interest in learning about and applying career and student development theory.
