Job Description:

The Department of Education at Worcester State University invites applications for an adjunct instructor position beginning this Fall 2022 in Elementary Science Methods.

Instructor will teach pre-service teachers to create and carry out thematically taught grade-appropriate activities linked to State Science Frameworks (Life, Physical, Earth/Space) for a diverse group of learners. The course emphasizes the importance of hands-on inquiry and lessons' relevance to learners' experiences, as well as authentic assessment, and use of technology. The course includes an hour of fieldwork during each class at a school adjacent to the campus.


Requirements:

Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Education, Science, or Science Education and teaching experience in elementary level science.
