The State University of New York, College of Technology at Delhi is seeking a Senior Assistant Librarian for Electronic Resources and Systems to work on the SUNY Delhi campus. This position will be a vital member of SUNY Delhi's Resnick Library that provides  high quality service and support to assist the campus to achieve its goals. All librarians share in providing reference, instruction, and collection development duties with a commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment for a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.

The Electronic Resources and Systems Librarian is responsible for:

  • Serving as liaison to one or more assigned academic departments on campus
  • Participating in collection development activities with other staff librarians
  • Serving on various library and campus-wide committees as appropriate
  • Electronic Resources Management: overseeing entire subscription life cycle of electronic resources, including but not limited to licensing, acquisition, and statistical reporting for usage assessment. Maintain relationships with vendors. Work with the Director of Library Services to maintain budget areas for databases and journal subscriptions.
  • Integrated Library System: Serving as system administrator for the Alma integrated library system
  • Discovery Layer: Maintaining configuration of Primo
  • Proxy Server and URL Link Resolver: working with campus IT to maintain campus EZProxy link resolver.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve technical problems related to access and maintenance of subscribed resources. Work with campus Computer Information Systems department to ensure subscribed resources work properly on current hardware and software configurations.

Requirements:

  • Master's Library Science (MLS), Master of Library and Information Science(MLIS), Master of Information Science (MIS), or equivalent degree from ALA accredited institution.
  • Effective communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, adapt to change, and execute change management strategies and communication plans.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment and workplace and an ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards for web design.

Additional Information:

  • Full time, tenure-track, faculty appointment with a 11-month obligation
