Summary
Leverage your project management and social media skills to expand University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis outreach, brand and messaging. The University has a long-standing record of excellence as a pharmacy college and recently grew into a University, expanding its undergraduate and graduate offerings. The Social Media and Marketing Manager will work with the marketing team and other departments in an effort to raise University awareness and increase enrollment. They will be responsible for the management of all social media channels and ensuring strong, efficient and accurate marketing support for campus clients. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

You will get to:
  • Manage University social channels and develop content that is informative, entertaining and relevant. Also help manage the social commentary and conversation.
  • Analyze engagement and stay up to date on social media algorithms, policies and capabilities, making changes to University accounts as needed
  • Analyze the University's digital marketing and social efforts to identify strategic weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns
  • Manage projects, from team assignments/tasks, interview coordination, timelines, budgets, and serve as a point of contact for all project details while developing strong relationships with campus clients to ensure objectives are met
  • Make effective decisions when presented with a challenge or multiple options
  • Review work and perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected


  • Qualifications
    To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A bachelors degree in marketing, communications, digital marketing or similar field of study
  • 2+ years of experience leading marketing projects
  • Extensive experience managing corporate social media accounts and knowledge of all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and their features, capabilities and changing algorithms and policies
  • Strong timeline management skills, the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and data, excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, and able to explain subjective concepts effectively
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, data-driven decision making, and short and long-term planning skills are required
  • Excellent customer service skills, collegiality and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people on a variety of channels, and to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Sensitivity to issues related to recruitment and retention of a diverse student body are required
