JOB DESCRIPTION

The University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant for Student and Campus Affairs. This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, non-exempt position. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the entire Office of Student Affairs, including the Vice President for Student and Campus Affairs & Dean of Students as well as the Associate Deans of Students.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete general office and administrative tasks for the entire Office of Student Affairs (e.g. Residence Life, Student Activities, Title IX, etc.)
  • Provide customer service care to students and guests who visit the Office of Student Affairs
  • Manage student information and records that contain sensitive/confidential information
  • Assist in balancing monthly budgets
  • Manage relationships with outside business partners and vendors
  • Assist in the design and creation of campus messages for Student Affairs
  • Data management and event planning for events and activities related to the Office of Student Affairs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High-school diploma required
  • Three to five years of administrative assistant experience or experience in providing administrative support to upper-level administrators that included excellent customer service preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a strong commitment to teamwork, customer service, ethical leadership, and student development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and have the ability to multi-task
  • Experience in recordkeeping, the balancing of monthly budgets, and the management of confidential information
