Position Purpose

The position is responsible for the management of all studios, labs, staffing, equipment, spaces, budgets, support, and operations for hands-on curricular components for the arts and sciences, the Organic Farm, and the Computer Applications Lab (CAL). This includes:

  • The support of all hands-on academic activities in the arts and sciences. Management of facilities, equipment, budgets, space, and staff scheduling in the arts, sciences, Organic Farm, and CAL. Supervision of staff. Ensuring staff receive safety training and/or certification, such as hazardous waste handling, best practices, and legally mandated training for their positions and activities. Ensuring the safety of students, staff, and faculty in academic activities.

 

This is a full-time, overtime exempt position on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is an “at-will” appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.

 

Salary and Benefits: $5,682 – $7,388 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
