Colorado State University seeks an innovative leader to serve as its next University Honors Program (UHP) Director. The UHP is a thriving program encompassing about 1800 students from eight collages. The goal of the UHP is to provide enriched academic experiences that inspire and serve a broad and diverse range of curious, creative, aspiring and talented students. The UHP’s multiple academic programs and student support offices emphasize equity and connectedness across disciplines, student backgrounds and learning environments.

The Director has administrative responsibility for the program’s curricula and instruction, students, budget, faculty and staff, and the residential learning community. The UPD Director will have the opportunity to lead a university team to envision and implement the next iteration of the program, based on recommendations from two task forces. The role of the UDP is a 12-month, full time position that includes teaching responsibilities within the Honors Program. The Director will provide vision, guidance and leadership to revise, expand and enhance the UHP through a framework of inclusive excellence. The Director is a university leader who collaborates with other leadership and units on campus to address institutional goals and works to continuously improve the UHP.

The anticipated starting date for this position will be Fall 2022. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or relative terminal academic degree from an accredited institution, the rank of Associate Professor with tenure, or higher, at least 6 years of experience in higher education demonstrating increasing responsibilities, and administrative experience at the departmental or college level. The successful candidate will have demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills, teaching and mentoring experience
