Auburn University Athletics seeks candidates for an Executive Support Assistant to provide executive level support to assist and coordinate administrative operations while exercising a high degree of discretionary authority for Athletic Student Services.

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinates the nomination process for scholarships and awards for student-athletes. This will involve interaction with student-athletes, coaches, sport administrators, members of the Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics, and other departmental representatives. Will also involve supervision of a Graduate Assistant, student-worker, or part-time employee.
  2. Manages the scholarship book program.
  3. Serve as the Kronos Timekeeper for all hourly and part-time employees, student workers, Graduate Assistants, and TES employees.
  4. Assist with hiring process for Graduate Assistants, part-time employees, and student workers.
  5. May perform numerous administrative duties including, but not limited to payroll, travel expense vouchers and invoices, contractual agreements, time logs, work orders, supplies, staffing correspondence, and purchasing card reconciliations.
  6. Schedules meetings and organizes and prioritizes calendar and makes travel arrangements.
  7. Handle confidential documents and critical information (employee records, payroll, student-athlete records, Student-Athlete Handbook, etc.) while assisting the SASS administrative team with preparation of a variety of reports.
  8. May act as point of contact for students, faculty, departments, and vendors/outside agencies.


Supervisory Responsibility
May be responsible for training, supervising, and assigning tasks to a Graduate Assistant, part-time employee, or student-worker. May provide input to performance reviews of other employees.
