TheInstitutional Advancement Specialistwill join a collaborative and dedicated team within Institutional Advancement (IA) Operations. This position will create a data collection strategy for the Institutional Advancement division and will manage, update, and pull data. Responsibilities include:

TheInstitutional Advancement Specialistwill join a collaborative and dedicated team within Institutional Advancement (IA) Operations. This position will create a data collection strategy for the Institutional Advancement division and will manage, update, and pull data. Responsibilities include:
- Manage list of data to be gathered from departments across the University including timelines
- Document and manage process for collecting and updating volunteer, event, employment, and other data
- Manage data including demographic, biographical, philanthropic and other pertinent information that provides details that categorize constituents for improved solicitation categorization.
- Update records as data is gathered.
- Document processes to enter data into the Banner System.
- Plan and create new codes in partnership with Operations team members.
- Focus on and partner with Operations team and IT to implement automation for data updates.
- Utilize and enhance the use of a reporting system to increase visibility and ease of access to data.
- Partner with leadership, alum relations, prospect research, and stewardship on data requests.
- Support formation of reporting with data understanding.
- Prepare research briefings.
- Conduct scoring reviews.
- Support and lead annual data review projects.
- Document, maintain, and guide the divisional organizational tools.
- Centralize and enhance support materials for each department and each role within the division. Support the work of a standard operating procedure within the division.
- Partner with leadership to enhance the organizational methods of each department within the division.
- Develop support materials for each functional area and centralization of policy, procedures, and workflows.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a combination of education and work experience. The work experience must include data management with entry, tracking, and workflows.
- One year of professional, full-time work experience.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office with experience using Excel
- High standards of customer service, professionalism, and ethics
- Experience patiently giving instruction
- Organizational aptitude; able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to move projects from conception to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and use of Banner
- Technical background in system set-up, code structure and planning
- Experience training technical skills to individuals without technical experience and communicating technical information to individuals without technical experience.
