Position Description

 

The Leadership and Integrative Studies faculty in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for Faculty Associates for the 2022-2023 academic year who will teach Online or at ASU's Tempe campus. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in Interdisciplinary Studies and/or Liberal Studies; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Liberal Studies, or related field at time of appointment Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously) Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion  

 

Desired Qualifications:

Terminal degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Liberal Studies, or related field Two years of full-time teaching experience in post-secondary environment Evidence of effective teaching Demonstrated proficiency in teaching in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously) Demonstrated success meeting the needs of underrepresented students and/or diverse communities
