Part-Time Lecturer Pool Position

POSITION AVAILABLE: One or more temporary, part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2022, and/or Spring Semester 2023.

THE DEPARTMENT: The School of Engineering is part of the College of Science. The School offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering and Computer Engineering. We also offer Master’s degree programs in Engineering Management and Construction Management. The Construction Management program was established in the Fall of 2010. The degree name is Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management. Through our graduates, we have established a strong representation in the Bay Area construction industry. This presence has provided our students the opportunity to secure internships, site visits and student projects to complement their classroom education. The program enrollment is around 150 undergraduate and 60 graduate students

DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Part-time position teaching in Construction Management Program at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward, Concord, and Online campuses. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.

RANK AND SALARY: Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience, and the salary ranges can be found at: CSU Salary Schedule . Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization.

DATE OF APPOINTMENT: Fall Semester begins August 17, 2022 and Spring Semester begins January 17, 2023.

QUALIFICATIONS: M.S. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction with relevant work experience is required. Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction is preferred.
