Job Description Summary
The Law and Taxation Department at Bentley University invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2023.

The chosen candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate law courses with a business focus. Bentley is committed to the teacher-scholar model where teaching, scholarship, and service excellence are expected and valued. While class sizes may vary, Law courses are generally capped at 35 students.

The chosen candidate will be expected to publish high quality and impactful scholarship in respected academic journals.

In addition, all full-time Bentley faculty are expected to engage in service to the Department and University. The successful applicant will be expected to be an engaged participant in the Law and Taxation Department and in the Bentley community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate (JD).

Qualified applicants should have a proven recent record of excellent undergraduate and/or graduate teaching. Experience teaching undergraduate law courses within a business program/curriculum is preferred. Applicants must be familiar with Blackboard and Zoom or have a willingness to learn. Bentley University makes training available for both platforms.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate promise of producing high quality and impactful scholarship. Proven ability to publish in law reviews is preferred.
