Job Description:

Job Profile Summary: The Campus Support Clerk ensures timely distribution of mail/freight, responsible for event setup/tear down, overseer of university vehicles, and coordinates and schedules biohazard waste transportation.

Pay starting at $17/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivers mail/freight within campus
  • Ensures out-going mail is appropriately prepared for distribution
  • Provides courier service for special pick-up/drop-off requests
  • Maintains accurate records for postal charges, cash receipts, incoming/outgoing registered mail, and certified and express mail
  • Handles basic vehicle maintenance by keeping vehicle fueled and cleaned (inside and out). Weekly inspections, and taking vehicles for service
  • Setup and tear down of event equipment in a timely manner
  • Serve as driver for weekly trips to KC campus and special events such as board meetings
  • Coordinates and schedules transportation of Bio-Hazard waste
  • Provide back-up to receptionist as schedule allows
  • Stocks coffee supplies to office breakrooms
  • Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization and department
Qualifications:
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have the ability to read and write English
  • Must have valid Driver’s license and obtain a Missouri Class E operator's license within 90 days of hire date
  • Must be dependable, and have good communication and organization skills.
  • Requires physical ability to routinely lift a maximum of 60 pounds; ability to bend, reach and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
