Job Description:

The College of Veterinary Medicine’s Department of Comparative, Diagnostic, and Population Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for a position in veterinary anatomic pathology at the clinical lecturer level. The position entails clinical and didactic teaching as well as service in the diagnostic laboratory. This position also involves consulting with clinicians related to any and all aspects of anatomic pathology.

The University of Florida Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories are comprised of dedicated individuals who strive for excellence in diagnostics to improve animal and human health. We are currently in the process of becoming accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians; experience in AAVLD-accredited laboratories is helpful.

The successful candidate must be able to work with students, faculty and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. The university has a student body of over 49,000 undergraduate, graduate and first professional students, including over 14,500 minority students, and 6,000 international students.

Expected Salary:

Salary will be based upon the successful candidate’s professional qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum requirements include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree. 1-3 years of experience in diagnostic biopsy and necropsy, is also required.

Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of two years of an anatomic pathology residency is preferred. Special Instructions to Applicants:
