The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Coordinator/Assistant Director of Campus Visit at the Daytona Beach Campus. The Coordinator/Assistant Director must be professional in all aspects: mannerism, dress, and communications, and maintain a professional and pleasant appearance of the visitor’s office. This position will plan and coordinate university tours for prospective and accepted students and families, VIPs, tour groups, outside agencies, faculty and staff. This position has direct responsibility for the leadership and training of 30+ student employees hired as tour guides and will be responsible for creating and updating student training manuals. The Coordinator/Assistant Director must be able to maintain databases and for management use, create reports for admissions office visits, and process all office supply orders.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Overall supervision and direction for student assistants in three areas of the Admissions Visit Office, Tour guides, and front desk staff
    • Interview and hire student assistants to insure adequate coverage of front desk and tour guides
    • Train student workers in the use of the student information system, telephone etiquette, office procedures, conducting effective tours, and general professionalism in a highly visible area.
    • Maintain schedule of students to ensure proper coverage of the front desk and tours
    • Responsible for approval of all student timecards for Admissions Visit Office
    • Create and update student training manuals and resources for tour guides
  • Plan, manage and coordinate campus tours and scheduling
    • Schedule visits through phone calls, email requests and walk in traffic. Maintain and coordinate daily schedule of all visits in database system.
    • Arrange visits with special interest groups: e.g. VIP’s, visiting school groups, faculty, staff etc. (about 30 requests weekly)
    • As a University representative, welcome prospective students and all visitors upon their arrival.
    • Maintain professional and pleasant atmosphere of the Campus Visit Office and assure that all students adhere to dress code and professionalism.
  • Administrative Support
    • Submitting check requests for all of DB Admissions
    • Helping with phone calls for DB Admissions when necessary
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work related experience
  • Analytical skills with knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
