Job Description:

Performs daily job duties surrounding departmental processes to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the card services department.

Representative provides exceptional phone and email support to students, staff, faculty, affiliates, and parents in the areas of SandDollar ID and services the card office. The SandDollar card carries the same regulations as a bank debit card and requires the same compliance regulations.

Support
  • Maintains expert knowledge pertaining to SandDollar$ Card System and all the services it supports, including but not limited to dining services, GET services, vending services, and provides outstanding customer service in all interactions. Investigates and resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution. The service is provided for all dining, vending, and GET programs supported by the SandDollar$ Office. This includes the resolution involving all cash, credit, or any monies held on the card.
  • Maintains expert knowledge in TAMU-CC policies regarding the distribution of the official University ID card, implementing a SandDollar$ account, collecting fees for services provided by the card system, and revenue maintained on the card from patrons.


Operational
  • Establishes, maintains, and updates students, faculty, staff, affiliates, or visitors SandDollar$ account including verifying all account information is correct and required official documentation is provided to establish a SandDollar$ ID and SandDollar$ account. Maintains individual SandDollar$ financial accounts by processing students, faculty, staff, affiliates adjustments. Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Responsible for attracting potential revenue by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services. Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • Responsible for the development of marketing and communication strategies to enhance the SandDollar$ brand image. Responsible for updating the SandDollar$ webpages and coordinates with partners for the dining services and bookstore webpages. Accountable for communication strategies to students, staff, and faculty concerning SandDollar$ services- emails, Instagram, Twitter.


Administrative
  • Manages day to day operations to include cash handling and customer service.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Five Years' Experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies and programs
  • Ability to work independently, to include organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments
  • Skill in the configuration and use of computerized database programs
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree, Associate or bachelor's
  • Atleast two year experience related to duties and responsibilities specified.
