Job Description:

The Senior Coordinator, Academic Computing Provides district-wide coordination of support for technology in academic learning spaces; works closely with department heads to coordinate the use of assigned computer learning spaces; assists faculty in solving problems that occur with hardware and software in the computer learning spaces; and coordinates district-wide scheduling of technical staff assigned to academic learning spaces. This position ensures that all hardware and software in assigned computer learning spaces is operational. Installs instructional software; assists in upgrading instructional hardware and networking; and maintains accurate inventories of hardware and software, as well as other instructional support materials, in the assigned computer learning spaces. This position reports to the Director, Technology Support.

SALARY RANGE: $42,230.00 - $60,000.00. Salary is negotiable depending upon experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and five years’ experience supporting microcomputers. Progressively responsible experience in supporting microcomputers may substitute on a year for year basis for the required education. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of supervisory experience and knowledge of Macintosh computers and devices is preferred.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
