Adjunct Faculty Publicity Manager

Job Description Summary:
The College of Business and Public Management (CBPM) seeks to hire a part-time, non-instructional adjunct faculty member to provide various news writing/publicity services on the La Verne Campus.
The workload and compensation will be comparable to teaching a course with 160 hours in a semester, roughly about 10 hours a week. The assignment can be renewed each semester based on satisfactory performance and up to 3 consecutive assignments may be made per year (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Most work can be performed remotely and/or in the evenings and weekends, although some work will need to be performed in person on the La Verne campus, roughly 20-30% of the 10 hours per week during the daytime work hours. Only selected candidates will be contacted. Once the hiring process is completed, the selected adjunct faculty member may begin to work as early as mid-August. All positions require a master's degree. The University of La Verne graduates with a master's degree are encouraged to apply. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, a copy of a graduate transcript, and a list of 3-5 references (include it in the resume), along with other documents requested.
The Publicity Manager will disseminate and promote written and visual content from the News Writer and Visual Content Creator to ensure the online presence of CBPM is engaging, up-to-date, and on message. This will be a part-time job requiring 10 hours per week.
Job Duties

Design and run both unpaid and low-cost paid campaigns to boost video and written content on social media.Track, report on, and continuously improve success of both paid and free CBPM content on social mediaGet CBPM news into media outlets such as newspapers, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, etc.Attend meetings of the CBPM Website Committee Communicate regularly with the Committee and with the Office of Strategic Communications to ensure all public facing web pages are up to date, logically organized, and functional. Other duties as assigned.
