JOB DESCRIPTION

The Doctor of Health Science Program in the Department of Interprofessional Health & Aging Studies at the University of Indianapolis is currently accepting applications for part-time teaching opportunities at the level of adjunct faculty. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply.

Specifically, the DHSc Program is looking for individuals who have the educational background and professional experience to teach a course in the development and evaluation of health programs, including content related to needs assessment, determining strengths/weaknesses of a program, and making recommendations regarding program development and evaluation.

Our courses are conducted in a completely online format and offered in partial-semester (accelerated) or full-semester lengths.

In order to be considered, applicants must have obtained a master’s degree (doctoral degree preferred) and have demonstrated evidence of effective teaching in the online format.

The University does not allow remote work from the States of Colorado, California, Illinois, and New York.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare a syllabus for each course
  • Keep attendance records for each student and deliver records to financial aid as requested
  • Evaluate student results and determine the quality of performance
  • Monitor grading criteria and record the results of student efforts
  • Inform students regularly of their academic progress
  • Respond promptly to all student emails and phone calls
  • Comply with all grade reporting deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree is required (doctoral degree is preferred)
  • Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching in the online format is required
