Position Summary:

The Manager, Marketing and Communications, role is a hands-on position that provides marketing leadership and direction for the Workforce Solution Group, as well as creating content and graphics, selecting and communicating with vendors, and collaborating with program managers to determine the best marketing channels for students that range from high school age to senior citizens. WSG provides education and job training for a wide range of students, from high school students attending tech classes to senior citizens involved in Continuing Education programs. Focus industry training includes healthcare, manufacturing, tech, business and transportation and logistics.

Leads and manages all internal and external communications efforts for the Workforce Solutions Group and Continuing Education. Responsible for marketing and advertising efforts, positioning, marketing and advertising strategy and consistent brand image. Provides leadership, coordination and supervision of the work of graphics and video staff to develop materials, program and campaign collateral. Responsible for planning, business process, budgeting, staff selection, staff development, staff evaluation and program evaluation and measurements. Identifies marketing opportunities through market research, collaboration with program and business partners, and serves as one of the division’s liaisons to the district-wide Marketing and Communications function, as well as to other internal departments impacted by WSG/CE strategic plans.

Primary Duties Performed:
  • Develops effective partnerships and collaboration between Workforce Solutions Group and internal partners to provide materials and communications that meet the strategic needs of business units and the brand standards of the division and College.
  • Supervises and coordinate the development, preparation of materials which promote the activities of the Workforce Solutions Group to targeted audiences. Identifies appropriate strategies for intended audiences for such projects and develops, monitors, and measures divisional activities related.
  • Creates online and offline content, key messages, elevator speeches and communiques to best position the WSG/CE in the community.
  • Manages internal and external communications campaigns and initiatives
  • Oversees writing and production of electronic and print outreach vehicles
  • Develops communications strategies and tactics to support the WSG/CE
  • Supervises internal and external design print, and other personnel to build and maintain brand and graphic standards Manages in-house and external advertising and marketing personnel
  • Coordinates and executes ad campaigns and implementation of advertising strategies
  • Manages and develops online and offline marketing channels and advertising programs
  • Provides cross-platform integration of marketing and advertising campaigns and initiatives
  • Provides creative direction in development of marketing materials, advertising campaigns, collateral, and informational materials
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years related experience
OR
  • Master's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience.
Salary Range:

$64,314.00 Minimum
