The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) School of Education
seeks a Grant Writer & Administrator (Multi-functional Research
Administration Manager (S/C/D)) to begin Fall, 2022. The University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is a top-tier (R1) research University
located on the shores of Lake Michigan and one of only two doctoral
institutions in the University of Wisconsin System. The UWM School
of Education is the state's premier school for the research and
practice of urban education. Its mission is to provide leadership
and inspiration for learning and human development in urban
communities. The School of Education values leadership for diverse
communities; excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service;
social and ethical responsibility; diversity; and communication and
collaboration. The School has strong collaborations across area
public school districts and with a wide variety of community-based
organizations. The School is engaged in an innovative effort to
create new partnerships for addressing issues in education
including the teacher pipeline. We are seeking an energetic and
inventive individual to join the School's faculty and
administration in securing external funding to support these
efforts. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated success in
grant writing, a master's degree in a related field and evidence of
strong written communication skills as determined by application
materials. Preference for candidates will be given to those who
also have demonstrated success working with research teams,
experience managing research projects post-award, ability to set
and meet deadlines and to prioritize projects/tasks, knowledge of
education and educational systems and evidence of strong oral
communication skills as determined by application materials. This
is a full-time, 12-month fixed term, terminal appointment, with the
possibility of renewal if awarded external funding. Salary range is
competitive dependent upon qualifications and work may be done
