High Point University, Department of Psychology, is seeking qualified candidates for 3 full-time non-tenure track faculty positions at the undergraduate level beginning August 2023. The positions are 3-year contract positions.
For position one: area of concentration is open with strong preference given to clinical or counseling psychology.
For position two and three: area of concentration is open with strong preference given to biopsychology, cognitive psychology, or developmental psychology.
High Point University is a medium-sized, liberal arts university in central North Carolina, with approximately 5,000 undergraduate students. The Psychology Department offers a B.S. in psychology with approximately 270 majors and 250 minors.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Candidates should be actively engaged in scholarship, with expectations to maintain an ongoing program of research. Teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and established departmental courses within the applicant’s area of training. Ph.D. in Psychology is required at time of employment.
