Job Description:

The Coordinator, Academic Support oversees the daily functions of the Library, Math Lab, Writing Lab, and Computer Lab functions on the Milton Campus. This position collaborates with appropriate department heads or other staff to coordinate scheduling of hours for academic support functions; coordinates the implementation of policies, procedures, and practices affecting the Milton Campus academic support staff; acts as the building supervisor, regularly assessing building needs and requesting upkeep via appropriate areas; and assists in the selection of traditional and online resources which support the College mission; and recommends withdrawal of obsolete and unnecessary materials from the collection. This position reports to the Dean, Milton Campus with a daily coordinating line to the Department Head, Libraries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

SALARY RANGE: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00
